Aberystwyth’s own symphony orchestra Philomusica of Aberystwyth performs David de Lloyd’s forgotten masterpiece of the 1930s, Tir na N’og (The Land of Eternal Youth), alongside members of Sinfonia Cymru, Côr ABC and leading Welsh soloists Rhian Lois and Trystan Llŷr Griffiths. The concert also features the world premiere of a violin concerto by Iranian-American composer Kian Ravaei, developed through the CERDDWN talent development programme, performed by young Aberystwyth-born violinist Tom Mathias; and a new orchestration of de Lloyd’s Welsh-language songs ‘Englynion ar Gân’.
