Running from 24 April to 1 May 2026, this year’s celebration is more special than ever as it celebrates Wrexham’s “Year of Wonder”, marking the 150th anniversary of the city’s historic 1876 milestones.
Attendees can look forward to a diverse programme featuring bestselling and local authors. Come and meet Mark Edwards, Simon McCleave, Alis Hawkins, Matthew Harffy, Scott Preston, Rhain Cadwaladr, Dan Richards, Dani Robertson, Ben Aitken, Samantha Maxwell, and Kerry Evans, alongside celebrated poets Brian Bilston, National Poet of Wales Hanan Issa and local poet Paul Clifton. Dive into fan-favourite the Murder Mystery evening and high-energy “Poetry – Live and Dangerous” session. There’s something for all of the family too with the Children’s Festival. Plus a chance to be creative with the “Freaky Folklore” creative writing session. To round the festival off we have our Historical Fiction evening where you the fan get to vote for your favourite era.
