Wales has many Art Galleries and are as varied as there are types of art and crafts. Many galleries specialise in one form of art or craft but whatever your love of arts and craft there is a gallery to suit you specifically. But many of the galleries have a range of arts and crafts within them.
Looking at paintings be it modern art or traditional landscapes, oil painting or watercolours contemporary art or conventional portraits galleries will at Welsh Arts Exhibitions over time cover them all.
Wales has a tradition of woollen crafts Welsh Blankets being possibly the most obvious. But when artists create and craft in textiles it could be knitting, crochet, embroidery or felting to name just a few. Wales has specialist Arts Exhibitions that are devoted to textiles.
Many artisan craft makers are members of local groups who often exhibit in venues that are not specifically galleries. These groups have the most wonderful items that can be purchased adding that individually made item ideal for a gift or addition to your home. Crafts such as woodcraft, jewellery, ceramics, pottery and metal art works and sculptures.
