Llandonna, one of the highest villages in Anglesey sits between Red Wharf Bay and the Menai Strait. Some of the gardens need shelter from strong winds but have a sunny location with spectacular views. The gardens often have rocky outcrops, but many plants do well. Llanddona has a variety of gardens, from small to quite large with different gardening styles. Drop in to see a smallholding with some carefully tended vegetables, Jacob’s sheep and a working pottery studio; rocky garden with a wildlife area and views towards Holyhead mountain; cottage gardens; a colourful garden with pots and greenhouse and former chapel built c. 1840 with a large garden in the early stages of restoration. Most will be within a short walk of each other. Regret, no dogs in some gardens due to livestock.
