Our Collections
As a legal deposit library we have the right to a copy of every publication printed in Britain and Ireland.

Visiting the National Library
Research
The Library has two Reading Rooms which can be accessed free of charge through a valid reader’s ticket. Registering is easy and can be done online before your visit, or you can complete the whole simple registration process on arrival.
Events and exhibitions
We have a lively programme of events and activities and free admission to our exhibitions.

Monday-Friday: 9:00 – 18:00 | Saturday: 9:30 – 17:00 | Sunday: Closed | Exhibition opening hours: 9:30 – 17:00 (Monday-Saturday)
Getting here
Car
The National Library is situated between the University Campus and Bronglais Hospital on the main A487 road.
Train & Bus
Aberystwyth train station is located in the centre of the town, a 15 minute walk to the Library, or a short journey by taxi or on the 03 bus route from the bus station. The Bus Station is located next to the Train Station and is served by various local connections.
