Rainline Wellington Boots from Grubs

From one of the soggiest Welsh summers I can remember we now enter autumn and winter with the certainty that we’ll still get not only more rain, but no doubt plenty of snow. I regularly walk my dog on my local beaches and I am quite often in wellies as our Welsh weather is so unpredictable, so I loved being able to try & test these wellies from Grubs, purely because there is nothing worse for me than wet or damp feet, so wellies are an essential part of my dog-walking kit. I must tell you how happy I was giving the Rainline wellies a good work out and am able to report that Grubs never fail to deliver with their promise of ‘comfort, grip, warmth and waterproof’ – and that is all I need. Now I know that I can embrace whatever the Welsh winter brings knowing I will not have wet feet, thanks to Grubs. The range of Grubs wellies are more than capable of keeping your feet warm and dry as they have an extensive range of weatherproof boots, for all sizes of feet and the ability to cope with a variety of weather conditions, whatever they may be.

For Winter 24, Grubs have made huge changes to their classic and extremely popular Rainline & Highline models. The rubber bellows have been replaced by a copyrighted and design protected full-length Flex-Panel that allows the boot to fit wider calves and I know that is often a problem for so many people. There’s also 2mm of Grubs famous Insufoam Ultra which helps keep your feet warm on those cold, chilly days. Grubs are well aware, as already said, that comfort, grip, warmth and being waterproof are what matters to their customer base and that is what I love about this company. Listen to your customers and take their ideas on board. At Grubs their mission is to identify and bring to market products that make outdoor sports more enjoyable and in my view they certainly have got all those boxes ticked.

The Rainline is a lightweight, high quality, full rubber wellington boot in a classic style, which is easy to clean. With a SUPERDRI™ lining and NITROCELL™ footbed this makes the Rainline the ideal choice for general outdoor leisure use. The boots are sturdy enough for the toughest terrain or perhaps just a leisurely stroll through the local park. I cannot count the pairs of wellies I have bought whilst working with horses that have soles as thin as paper and often caused you to slip. But as these have serious soles your wellie boots will take you wherever you wish to go.

I look back when I used to spend hours caring for horses, plus walking the dog as my feet were never out of wellies, but without a doubt I’ve never worn wellies as good as these from Grubs are. They are super comfy with flexibility at the back of the boot making them lovely to walk in for hours and as for the soles, I’d say these are the 4 wheel drive of wellies! Well done Grubs……..

Sizing: For half-sizing due to the allowance we would recommend sizing down.

Take Care Of Me:

BRUSH ME, WASH ME: Hosing down your wellies after each use and once a month wash off excess dirt with just water, for a deep clean use water with a mild soap. Gently scrub with a soft bristle brush until your boots are clean, then leave the boots to air dry naturally (not on a direct heat source).

OIL ME: Once dry, apply a rubber conditioner or natural oil to replace the lost plasticising agents in the rubber areas of the boot (especially flex points toe and ankle). We recommend customers to buy the Revivex rubber care spray which can be found on grubswarehouse.com
