Local Garden Centre Raises £1385 for Macmillan Cancer Support

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, a family run, independent garden centre in Three Cocks, is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of their recent charitable endeavours. Over the past month, a remarkable £1385 has been raised for Macmillan Cancer Support through a series of fun-filled events.

Garden Centre Founder and ‘Quiz Master,’ Mark Cleary, expressed his excitement, stating:

“It’s a fantastic achievement for our dedicated team to have contributed this substantial sum to support Macmillan’s vital work. We take great pleasure in hosting our Macmillan Coffee Morning and popular Quiz & Curry Night, and this impressive total is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our team, as well as our incredibly generous customers.

“A special thanks to our suppliers, Castell Howell, Holdsworth and Bidfood who supported the event by donating some of the curry ingredients!”

The success of these recent events highlights the unwavering commitment of the Old Railway Line Garden Centre to support the local community and charitable causes, such as Macmillan Cancer Support.

Retail and Events Manager, Matthew Lewis, provided a glimpse into the future, saying:

“We have a series of exciting events lined up for the upcoming months that will cater to various interests and age groups. Our Halloween festivities for families during half term will include a Spooky Afternoon Tea and exciting Spooky Halloween Walkway.

“As we approach the holiday season, we are also gearing up for our Family Christmas events, featuring Santa’s Grand Arrival, Breakfast with Santa and Tea with Santa. Please note that availability of these events is already limited so please visit our website to book as soon as possible.”

For adults seeking their own brand of holiday enchantment, the Old Railway Line Garden Centre has planned a Festive VIP Evening as well as a 2 Course Christmas Menu and Festive Afternoon Tea.
