I have to have pockets and these trousers have four, all deep, zipped and hidden. There are 2 secure zipped hand pockets, 1 secure zipped rear pocket and 1 snap fastened drop pocket on the side. I loved the fit of these Uplanders as they’ve been designed to be slimmer than a straight leg and I think they have a classic look with ergonomic lines. The articulated knees make it easy if you are scrambling over rougher terrain, and the scuff tape inside the hem helps to stand up to the wear and tear caused by abrasion from your hiking boots. Another addition that I also loved was the waistband which uses hook and loop fastenings, giving you an adjustable waist, whilst along the back of the waistband you’ll find brushed microfleece which increases comfort and warmth. If you get caught in a shower or two, don’t worry as the Uplanders have a fast drying time of 6 hours, which means easy overnight drying.
