This waterproof jacket has lots going for it, so much so I couldn’t find a single thing I disliked or wanted Crags to improve. Plus with the endless wet weather we’ve had in Wales of late, this Caithness jacket was given a really tough work out.
I loved this longer-length AquaDry waterproof which has a layer of insulating wadding to help retain your body heat. There’s also an adjustable grown-on hood, adjustable cuffs, plus a stud-fastening storm flap and amazingly 7, yes 7 pockets with one that is zipped for security. Pockets are important for me as when walking my dog on the beach I seem to have lots of things I need to carry with me, plus the thought of losing my car keys on the beach, well I’d be in such a panic and stuck! But that worry is gone with a secure zipped pocket, thanks Crags!
This jacket fabric is breathable and really toasty warm. It is made from Aquadry which is a guaranteed waterproof and breathable fabric, so the Caithness has been designed for moderate to heavy downpours. There are also Thermo Air and ThermoAir+ fibres that are designed to trap your body heat, locking it in at the core, which then provides reliable protection in the cold winter weather.
