Women’s Allure Pullover from Helly Hansen

Helly Hansen are another of my favourite companies and the main reason for this is they create quality clothing that is stylish and works whatever the weather. So it is probably no surprise that I really loved this wonderful Allure pullover. But a sweatshirt it is not, as Helly Hansen has cleverly taken the standard sweatshirt to another level entirely. The company has used a luxurious quilted fabric which has a thicker, softer feel, but certainly doesn’t feel bulky to wear. I wore my Allure to yoga as it looked stylish with my yoga pants, I also wore it with jeans on a girls’ lunch and enjoyed getting compliments from them as they kept touching my arm to feel the lovely fabric! Then it became my dog walking pullover whilst out on the beach braving the weather. This really is such a versatile pullover, but I must be honest, I just keep wearing it because it is warm, soft and very comfortable and cuddly against my skin. Made from 63% Organic Cotton, 35% Polyester and 2% Elastane. This Allure pullover has a hand pocket with a subtle YKK® zipper and a raglan sleeve which doesn’t restrict your movement. It also comes with a very tasteful HH logo. I’m not into logos so appreciate that with Helly Hansen their logos are always discreet. The Allure is certainly a winner for me and I am tempted to add another one to my Christmas list and hope my family will take the hint.

You can machine wash the Allure and do wash with similar colours. It is best not to use fabric conditioner. Helly Hansen have a great order service as all orders placed before 10.00am will be handed to their preferred carrier within 1-2 business days. The company also offer a 30-day free return policy, which is superb if you are one the hunt for that perfect Christmas gift. Helly Hansen have a free standard shipping on orders over £80.00. Do check out their website as Helly Hansen have great gift ideas for gals and guys.

Helly Hansen was born in the environment. It’s our duty to protect it.

We create professional grade gear to help people stay and feel alive in the harshest environments in the world. Ever since Helly Hansen was founded by sea captain Helly Juell Hansen in 1877, we have developed high-quality gear to protect people at sea and in the mountains, and we have an obligation to protect these environments.

After 140+ years in business, we know that long-term success can only be achieved by respecting, protecting and promoting ethical values, human rights and the environment. We are committed to continue advocating for the responsible use and enjoyment of the oceans, mountains and the greater outdoors. By applying a holistic and scientific approach to all our decisions, we strive to ensure our actions support the possibility for people and the planet to thrive.

MATERIALS & TECHNOLOGIES

Our aspiration is to make products that can live through generations. Long-lasting products require durable materials, which is a priority for us and an advantage for the environment. Therefore, we constantly work to develop and choose materials with the lowest environmental impact.

Manufacturing – Fair working practices

The textile and garment industry is made up of a complex supply chain stretched all over the globe. It covers industries such as chemical suppliers, yarn spinners, material suppliers, and garment manufacturers, often situated in countries with weak social regulations.

Use – Long lasting Products

For the past 140 years, Helly Hansen has developed and tested its technologies together with professionals living and working in some of the world’s harshest environments. Their spirit, experiences, and feedback are woven into every detail and every fiber of our garments. We design these garments to be durable and long-lasting for even the toughest critics.

End of Life

Central to our sustainability efforts is our focus on the quality, performance and longevity of our products. With growing internal awareness around the textile waste challenges and opportunities to utilize products and materials in a second life, we are currently evaluating and researching possibilities for Helly Hansen to be a positive part of the circle.
