I do realise that there are some people who enjoy ironing and I’ve always wished that I was one of them, but I am not! I dream of an ‘ironing fairy’ coming into our home weekly to magic away the pile of laundry and then hanging it up too for me too! But that has never happened so I was delighted, although a little unsure if the Pro Express Vision Steam Generator was the ironing miracle I, the sceptical journalist, was hoping for. Well even though it wasn’t my ‘ironing fairy’ it was certainly the next best thing, I was so pleased to get the chance to try this machine out.
So this is a steam generator iron, not that I had much of a clue what that was until I’d tried it and although I cannot say I’ve falling in love with the ironing process, I now cannot do without this machine as it has totally changed my view and my reluctance to tackle the ironing. OK I can’t count it as my best friend, but it has made life so much easier. It has really been a blessing in that it is speedy, easy and very light to use and I actually did impress myself how quickly and efficiently I got through the weekly ironing pile. This is because there’s a massive 9 bars producing 180g/min continuous steam and this high pressure steam generator iron makes creases disappear in a flash. This is such a powerful machine. It also has an intense 750g/min steam boost that’s tough on stubborn creases, even ironing a linen shirt was easy-peasy!
The Pro-Express Vision has Smart LED Vision light at the tip which comes on automatically when the iron is horizontal or you hold down the steam button for 2 seconds, this ensures that no creases are missed and I could even iron late at night. This machine is Tefal’s most powerful high pressure steam generator iron and even though I’m no expert I did find myself whizzing through a huge pile of ironing very quickly indeed and even if I say so myself, my garments looked very good! The clever design features don’t end there as you’ll find all the controls are cleverly placed on the handle. The lightweight and removable easy-fill tank allows 90 minutes of ironing in one go. It’s also 2 times quieter thanks to Silence Technology, so it won’t overpower your TV when you are ironing, plus you’ll not disturb the family either.
I was also able to freshen up some jackets, as this machine can also steam vertically, making it ideal for both longer sessions and last-minute touch-ups. I did say this was a clever machine! Another feature that many will welcome is that there is a removable Scale Collector, plus an anti-drip Protect System so your garments are always spotless.
