Nigel Forster is based in the Brecon Beacons and in his many years as a professional photographer has developed a reputation for creating unique and evocative landscape images. His two main areas are the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks, but he has a developing portfolio from other parts of Wales and beyond. He is a landscape photographer for the Welsh Government and amongst other clients has worked with both the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authorities.
Apart from selling his work from his gallery at Talybont on Usk and his website www.creativephotographywales.com, his work can be found in many shops and galleries within the two National Park areas. As former director of a community regeneration charity, Nigel is also passionate about our communities in Wales and the role that photography can play in promoting the beauty of our landscape, our culture, our rural economy and encouraging people to explore their local environment.
Teaching photography is an important part of Nigel’s work. He offers a wide range of courses on both a One to One and group basis. Courses are offered to private individuals – both visitors and local people, businesses wanting to develop the skills of their workforce, charities and other community based organisations looking to encourage local people to learn new skills and explore their local environment through photography.
Although the landscapes of Wales are Nigel’s first love, he doesn’t only do landscapes! He is also available to photograph weddings and other events and is often commissioned by tourism providers such as hotels, B&B’s and activity providers for promotional work.
