This is new from Clinique and has a totally different consistency to the original. As I have never tried the original, I am not able to compare, but suffice it to say I found their new version to be amazing. This moisture surge is a cream but with texture that is so soft, it reminds me of a cloud and I much prefer the ‘feel’ of a cloud to some of the gloopy pots I’ve had to try. Another plus is that it contains an SPF 25 which offers sheer sun protection against UVA/UVB rays. SPF skin protection is so important so it’s great that it is in this cream. I loved how it left my skin feeling so hydrated throughout the day, despite the sunshine that we are currently blessed with. It is also so good on hydration because it has an aloe vera bio-ferment + hyaluronic acid complex, which helps infuse your skin with moisture and cleverly keeps it there! You’ll find this cream sinks easily into your skin, without leaving it looking and feeling oily and it created a perfect canvas for make-up.
Please don’t worry if you have a dark skin tone, because again, unlike some other creams, you will find this one blends in sheer and doesn’t leave your skin with a white cast, residue or stickiness. So it is suitable for all skin types, even for those that have sensitive skin and it is also oil-free.
