It will be my secret as to how many years I’ve been a supporter of Joules, as I was an earlier purchaser when I was working as a journalist on the equestrian circuit, when Joules were in their very early days of building their business. Today the company has grown from strength to strength with a huge range of clothing and products, but they have never lost their direction of quality, combined with clever, fabulous styles and terrific colours. Their design team are such a talented bunch. I’ve bought so much from Joules over the years, ranging from tops, sweat shirts and trousers and have never, ever been disappointed and I can assure you, I rarely say that about many brands!
So after confessing my long-standing love of Joules let me now tell you about the Eliza shirt, as this is another super piece. It’s made from 100% lightweight linen, with keyhole buttons running down from the collar and the thought behind this design was to be easy-to-wear and it certainly is. The Eliza shirt gives you a lovely loose fitting silhouette, which is so comfortable in the warm weather. On the back there’s a yoke detail with a soft pleat that again gives you easy wear.
Joules are so clever at giving classic garments a more modern twist, which I’m sure you’ll love as much as I do. The short sleeves are so pretty, slightly puffy and are gathered at the shoulder and cuff, which has a discreet popper detail. This is a versatile shirt that you can team up with shorts, linen trousers, skirts or as a cover up over a swimsuit. This will make such a handy holiday piece or just as great if you are meeting the girls for lunch.
