Brecon Beacons Food Festival Thanks Its Sponsors

Nearly all community events as diverse as sporting or artistic cultural welcome sponsors.

Brecon Beacons Food Festival that takes place on Saturday 5th October, 2024 from 9.30am in the Market Hall in Brecon is no different. Andrew Powell the event organiser which has been running for over 20 years (with Covid exceptions)  commented:

“We don’t have the luxury of a large, guaranteed budget each year, so we work hard with the funds invested by exhibitors and sponsors into making the event a success. The additional funds give us the opportunity to cover running costs and add additional marketing activities.”

The first of the Headline Sponsors for 2024 is Castel Howell Foods: www.castellhowellfoods.co.uk/about-us/

Andrew Powell commented Castell Howell has a rich history spanning over three decades, Castell Howell has been at the forefront of supporting Welsh communities and promoting local produce. Their commitment to quality and community values makes them a perfect partner for our festival, which is all about celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

We so often see Castell Howell on the road with their vehicles from the large articulated double decked multi temperature units to their smaller box bodied vans performing the logistics of getting food from the producers and manufacturers to the shops hotels restaurants and cafes that we all use.

The second headline sponsor is local civil engineering company WW Bowen. A Mid Wales based company offering services in all areas of civil engineering, traffic management and concrete supply. WW Bowen

Trading for over 30 years they have built the knowledge and experience of their trades, to offer a complete service from the design of the project, the management through to the finished product.

Being based in Mid Wales the business cannot not have strong links to agriculture giving them an understanding of what the customer needs regarding the method of how they carry out their work and the quality of the finished product. This ensures that working with both landowner and often a different business or individual as the client they ensure disruption is to a minimum.  This working method has been awarded with much work over the years and they now have the reputation for working in this way.

Going forward WW Bowen aim to stay at a size that enables them to keep pride in their work. Having a carefully selected workforce and hands on management team they are able to proudly say that they are “big enough to cope and small enough to care”.

The third headline sponsor is Beacon Foods prioritising quality, variety and responsible sourcing and based in Brecon.
