Away from Wales

The sun still sets
And the waves still sail.
The bridge sits still
And gulls still wail.

The cliffs rock still
And the trees knit-knot.
The cars hum drum.
And the clouds spit spot.

Away from Wales
The ships stop dock.
And the boats criss cross
Along the meridian clock.

Faces now new
And dialects so strange.
New friendships emerge
As conversations exchange.

Away from Wales
Traditions still sing;
Dancing and laughter
And costumes with hymn.

Away from Wales
Traditions prevail;

With joy, song, and laughter;

And a bright sunny sail.
