Well done L’Occitane. I love their idea of refills for their liquid hand and body soaps. I am such a huge fan of L’Occitane that to be able to save money, but still continue with one of my favourite brands, whilst helping to save the planet as well, then I am a winner. This beautiful vanilla and shea infused hand and body wash refill, leaves your skin feeling clean and soft to touch as it respects your skin balance. It is also ideal for dry to very dry skin. All the family will love this liquid soap which is made from vegetable oils and enriched with Fair Trade Shea Butter, known for its nourishing properties. This lovely liquid soap cleanses the skin without stripping your skin and it is delightfully fragranced and its sweet and captivating scent is reminiscent of a vanilla flower.
It is also essential to me that this soap is vegan friendly, has 93% natural origin ingredients and 98% readily biodegradable ingredients. I am making myself focus on using eco-refills if at all possible and do think we should all try to use refills more. Eco-refills use an average of 85% less plastic and L’Occitane, as you’d expect, has been very clever in its design as it is so easy to pour and replenish your favourite Vanilla Bouquet Hands & Body Liquid Soap. I think many of us worry that refills will be messy to use, that they’ll be easy to spill but I can assure you that this refill was easy even for a clumsy person like me!

As I’m such a devotee of L’Occitane, I wanted to share with you a little more about L’Occitane, the company, so I’ve taken more information from their website:
Since 1976, L’OCCITANE en Provence has been imagining, producing and selling beauty, skincare and well-being products with an intention to share nature’s wonders with the world. Our ambition is to not only sustain lands, but to regenerate ecosystems.

Our Progress:
L’OCCITANE hopes to protect and regenerate biodiversity, both natural and cultivated, within and outside our value chain. We want to contribute to both a nature-positive and carbon net-zero world by delivering dramatic changes to mitigate climate change and anticipate its impact on our activities. Through our work, L’OCCITANE aims to create opportunities and empower all people in the communities in which we are invested, as well as promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in society. Proud to be B-Corp
While L’OCCITANE has championed causes such as supporting local communities, sustainable producers, biodiversity and fighting climate change for many years, we’re now proud to join in the B Corp™ movement. Seeking B Corp™ certification commits us to measuring the impact of our decisions on all stakeholders, including our employees, supply chain, consumers and the planet. It also shows us where and how we can continuously improve our ethical practices.
A STORY OF GENEROSITY
Since 1976, L’OCCITANE has been protecting the richness of our lands and we are committed to defending biodiversity for the generations to come. We celebrate nature and our mission is to give back to it. That is why we are proud to partner with global conservation charity, PUR Project, to fund dedicated tree plantation projects in local regions across the world.
As part of our global commitment to help regenerate our land after the devastating bushfires in early 2020, L’OCCITANE has partnered with the charity partner for UK’s National Parks, the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW), to restore natural habitats, native vegetation and support wildlife rehabilitation efforts across UK.
Sustainable Sourcing
L’OCCITANE sees nature as its model and draws inspiration from the natural properties of plants to drive innovation. We are dedicated to developing long-term partnerships with our producers and prioritise short and local integrated channels when sourcing our key ingredients.
A Story Of Fairness
Our ingredients – and therefore our producers – are the lifeblood of L’OCCITANE. Were it not for their hard work, dedication and skills, we wouldn’t be able to create such unique, authentic products. Dialogue, respect and transparency lie at the heart of our relationships with our producers. Some of our partnerships have lasted for over 30 years!
At L’OCCITANE, we strive to use high-quality, traceable and natural ingredients. We use over 200 botanical ingredients, a quarter of them organically certified, which are carefully selected for their effectiveness and their ability to give your skin the elements it needs to be beautiful. These ingredients are used at an ideal concentration in our formulas. We therefore systematically give priority to natural ingredients whenever possible. For example, we use vegetable oils in place of oils derived from petrochemicals, as they have a better affinity with the skin. Discover the key natural ingredients that make our products so unique.
