100% Compostable, XL Bin Bags from EKO Home

filler

I have been trying very hard of late to be more aware of ‘being greener’ and a good deal kinder to our planet. However what I haven’t been considering very much, well actually the truth is actually at all, is that my rubbish is not kind to the environment, because I’ve continued to use the basic plastic bin liners. We no longer have plastic bags at the supermarket check-out, but how many people like me, must just have forgotten or ignored bin liners?

Of course we are now more familiar with compostable bags for food waste, but I have no idea why I was forgetting about my using ‘normal’ plastic bin liners in the bins in my home? Well thank goodness EKO has woken me up to my error as they have developed new, extra-large, fully compostable bin bags.

EKO have taken years of painstaking research and development to ensure that their bags are strong enough to use in your bin, well that has certainly impressed me, plus the fact that the bin bags cleverly completely decompose once it leaves my home. How brilliant is that? We’ve all experienced the ‘normal’ plastic bin bags that often when full the bottom often falls out of the bag and you have your rubbish all over the kitchen floor, I guess that’s happened to you too and it is so annoying.

So I’m delighted to report that these fabulous new bags are super strong and yet plastic free. They have been made from natural corn-starch, so these bags will break down completely in just 180 days, that has really impressed me and that the bags are certified to European and international standards and carry the Seedling logo.
