Old Railway Line Garden Centre Raises £1,293 for Macmillan Cancer Support

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre is proud to announce that it has raised £1,293 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a series of recent fundraising events. The largest contribution came from a hugely successful Quiz & Curry Night, held on Friday, 11th October, which raised an impressive £1,042. This was further boosted by a Macmillan Coffee Morning held a few weeks earlier.

The Quiz & Curry Night attracted over 100 participants, who enjoyed a night of challenging trivia and delicious food, all in support of a great cause. Guests were treated to a homemade curry while putting their knowledge to the test in a lively and competitive quiz.

Mark Cleary, founder of the Old Railway Line Garden Centre and quizmaster for the evening, expressed his gratitude to all those who took part and supported the event:

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. The turnout for the Quiz & Curry Night was fantastic, and it’s heartwarming to see how many people came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support. The charity does such vital work for individuals and families affected by cancer, and we’re thrilled to have raised £1,293 to contribute to their cause. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success.”

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre is committed to supporting charitable causes and looks forward to continuing its efforts to give back to the community.

Located in Three Cocks, near Brecon, the Old Railway Line Garden Centre is an award-winning family-run business offering a wide range of plants, gardening products, homeware, gifts, and a popular restaurant.
