New Quay Honey Farm

Enjoy a fascinating and informative visit to Wales largest working honey farm! New Quay Honey Farm began through a family love of beekeeping over twenty years ago. We now have over 500 hives here in Ceredigion, producing our delicious Wildflower Honey. Every year we make the journey, with the bees, to the heather covered Welsh mountains, giving us our Mountain and Heather honeys.

Our honey farm is set in an old chapel on a beautiful, idyllic farm near New Quay. The site is ideal for any nature and outdoor enthusiast, in particular with the links to a bluebell woodland walk. We have a tearoom serving a range of home made treats, a shop offering tasters of and selling the full range of our products, a children’s activity corner and a meadery where we brew traditional mead, simply fermenting honey with water in the ambient temperatures of the summer months

We have a live hive ‘bees behind glass’ exhibition and a live Leaf Cutting Ant Colony. In the exhibition we show how fascinating the honeybee colony is and how important the insect world is to the survival and well being of the planet.

The farm is open for visitors from Easter to 31st October. 10am – 5pm. We are closed Sundays & Mondays apart from Bank Holiday Weekends
