The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, located in Three Cocks between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, hosted a charity Bingo Night on Friday 12th August in aid of Bronllys Hospital & Community League of Friends. During this event, the independent garden centre raised a very impressive £832 for the charity. The rest of the money raised was collected over the past year from customers donating a £1 when replacing reward cards or buying leftover pallets from the business.
Events Manager, Matthew Lewis said:
“We were delighted to host our first Bingo Night since 2019. We used to host many Bingo Nights but had to put them on hold for a couple of years. As soon as we announced that we were bringing Bingo Night back, it sold out really quickly and was a huge success.
“The night ran smoothly with a delicious home-cooked meal from our Restaurant team to start the night followed by a fun, light-hearted game of Bingo. We also held a raffle halfway through the night in which all funds went towards the charity.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and helped us raise such an impressive total to be able to donate to Bronllys League of Friends. We hope you all enjoyed the night as much as we did.”
The family run garden centre put on many charity events in constant efforts to give back to their local community and causes close to them. Booking is now open for their popular Quiz & Curry Night which is being held in October.
