Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

filler

We at Welsh Country are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty had many connections with Wales despite cutting back on her patronages in recent years. The Queen lived a remarkable life of public service and had an extraordinary impact on countless people around the world.

Her patronages in Wales reflect her broad interests as shown by these examples:

Her love of horses and the countryside:

  • The Welsh Pony and Cob Association.
  • The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.

Her steadfast belief:

  • National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of Wales.
  • Friends of Llandaff Cathedral.
  • St. Davids Cathedral.

The armed forces:

  • The Royal Welch Comrades Association.
  • Royal Welsh Officers’ Association.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the members of the Royal Family.
