HERBAE Iris Pallida Eau De Toilette (Boxed)
This is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the allure of Iris Pallida, Grasse’s coveted blue gold, this is an absolute treasure in perfumery as it symbolises renewal and the blossoming of Summer. This floral green iris scent is a harmonious blend of striking freshness, with a subtle herbaceous Iris floral heart and warm musky notes. It has been beautifully enriched with the natural extract of Iris Pallida that blooms in the heart of Provence, as Summer begins to awaken, you’ll find the fragrance unfolds into an addictive, refreshing floral symphony. The sparkling, green freshness from the bergamot, rhubarb leaf and lemon notes give way to notes of herbaceous holy grass and floral, airy Iris Pallida. This heart is magnified by powerfully warm notes of amber woods that contrast with the clean freshness of incense. The musky notes envelop this dry down with their cottony and comforting softness. This fragrance is like a comforting embrace.
Then the packaging is simply stunning. The blue outer pays homage to the hue found on an iris flower, whilst the delicate pink lid adds a delicate femininity. From the first spray I was hooked as I loved the greener notes of bergamot and rhubarb, which I found blended beautifully with the iris. Then I found that the warmth you get from the cottony musk at the base, which is certainly sensual, but also gives it a certain depth at the same time. Wearing it I imagine I’m strolling through iris gardens on a balmy evening, lost in the wonderful iris scent. This is a must-have for my spring and summer fragrance.
The fact you have the natural Iris extract from the South of France makes me appreciate how must thought and expertise goes into crafting such a fragrance. An Eau De Toilette isn’t usually my go-to, as I find they don’t last too long on me but surprisingly this one proved me wrong as it lasted well which I suspect is down to the natural Iris extract.
I really certainly would recommend this Herbae Iris Pallida to try and if you have birthdays in the offing this will also make a gorgeous gift idea.

Immortelle Shea Youth Hand Cream (Boxed)
I am a massive fan of L’Occitane’s range of hand creams but I’ve certainly missed out on their Immortelle Shea Youth Hand Cream. I must say I am really annoyed with myself for not trying it before as this one is superb. My favourite ‘cannot-be-without’ in the L’Occitane hand cream range are their Shea Butter Hand Cream and their Shea Intensive Hand Balm, but now I must add this one onto my favourites list.
This Youth Hand Cream is made with 97% natural origin ingredients and is an anti-ageing hand cream that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. It has an innovative serum-in-cream formula and is a fusion of the nourishing benefits of shea butter (5%) and age-defying technology of the immortelle flower to diminish the visible signs of ageing on hands. The serum-in-cream technology encourages rapid penetration of immortelle* essential oil, which will increase the density and firmness of your skin.
I found it made such a huge difference to my rough gardening hands which is not surprising as it is rich in Omega-6 and karitene and contains exceptional molecules that helped, nourished and protected my skin. This Youth Hand Cream also contains a cocktail of powerful age fighting ingredients (Hibiscus AHA, Hexylresorcinol & Rapseed phytosterols). I appreciated that you don’t need to use much and loved that the texture which I’d rate as luxurious and it absorbs so quickly. Your hands are left leaves your hands delicately scented with the floral scent of immortelle, alongside deliciously fruity notes of apple and peach, but without being overpowering. I also made a point of working it into my nails and cuticles too. Sadly our age often shows on our hands and hands are a complete giveaway. But regular use of this hand cream has helped my hands look visibly younger with a more even skin tone, as well as looking plumper and brighter. It was amazing. But now have done a note to myself to always have a spare waiting as I really don’t want to run out of this Pro-Youth Serum-in-Cream. This serum is also suitable for all skin types. It is vegan friendly with 97% natural origin ingredients and 98% readily biodegradable ingredients and also tested under dermatological controls.
This would also make a gorgeous gift if you have birthdays in the offing.
