The Brecon Beacons Food Festival, a cherished free-entry, not-for-profit celebration of Welsh food and drink, is delighted to announce its Title Sponsors for 2026: Beacon Foods and Castell Howell. Their generous support, alongside backing from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Powys County Council, helps ensure this much-loved community event continues to thrive.
Running a free-entry festival presents unique financial challenges. Not only must core costs be covered, but the festival also works hard to keep exhibitor fees affordable for the many independent producers who take part. Unlike many commercial events that rely on expensive tickets and high exhibitor costs, the Brecon Beacons Food Festival remains committed to accessibility, made possible through sponsorship and public support.
Festival organiser Andrew Powell explains:
“We have no large guaranteed budget and face constant pressure from rising costs. Our commitment has always been to keep the festival free and accessible. Thanks to the generous backing of Beacon Foods and Castell Howell, together with the support of Powys County Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we can maintain low exhibitor fees and deliver a rich, inclusive experience for everyone. This support helps us promote local producers, invest in marketing, and keep the heart of the community beating at the festival.”
The involvement of Beacon Foods and Castell Howell, both leading suppliers within the Welsh food industry, reflects their strong commitment to supporting regional producers and celebrating the quality of Welsh food and drink. Their sponsorship plays a key role in helping the festival showcase local talent while remaining accessible to all.
This year’s festival will once again bring together over 60 local food and drink producers on Saturday 3rd October, along with live music, family activities, and a vibrant market atmosphere in the heart of Brecon.
Best of all, entry remains completely free, ensuring everyone can enjoy a day celebrating the best of Welsh food, drink, and community spirit.
Local businesses and organisations interested in supporting the event are encouraged to explore sponsorship opportunities and discover how their involvement can help sustain one of Mid Wales’ most popular food celebrations. More information is available at www.breconbeaconsfoodfestival.co.uk.
