Today I walked in springtime
And gathered all my thoughts.
The day was warm and gentle
And the shadows quiet and short.
The flowers were pink surprising
And the wind was warm and kind.
The path was daisy pettled
And the sky was long and lined.
Today I walked in happiness
And breathed a different way.
My mind was clear and settled
And my thoughts were washed away.
Today I will remember;
