There is an absolute belter of a line up awaiting visitors to the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival taking place this weekend (Sun 28-Mon 29th).
The food demos will be hosted by Loving Welsh Food’s Sian Bassett-Roberts at the Duke Of Wellington on the High Street with some amazing chefs talking through their recipes.
At the end of each demo festival goers will be able to sample their food, paired with some locally available wines, ciders, beers and soft drinks.

Sunday
12.00 – The Crafty Pickle – All about fermentation and why it is so good for you.
1.00 – Mathew Saju, Shampan – Making Indian Pickles at home and cocktails!
2.00 – Llewelyn, The Hare & Hounds, and Hounds will be making Hangar Steak on a Konro Grill with a bone marrow bearnaise.
3.00 – Anand George, Purple Poppadom will be making a beef and vegetable keema and an omelette curry
4.00 – Chef Tom Lodge, The MUDDY TOAD will be making a delicious lamb dish

Monday
12.00 – Private chef Christos will be making Welsh canapes, including laverbread, cockles and a Welsh Rarebit
1.00pm – Sian Bassett-Roberts from Loving Welsh Food will guide visitors through an incredible cider and cheese tasting (all of which will be available at the festival)
2.00 – Chef Tom Lodge is back demonstrating an incredible scallops recipe
3.00 – Ffwrnes Caerdydd will be making both a traditional and a not-so-traditional pizza.
4.00pm – Meg Hitchen from Meggobakes will be showcasing her recipe for a delicious cookie (absolutely ideal for children)
Lots and lots of samples will be available at the end of each demo!
The demonstrations are available to those who have bought a ticket to the main festival.
