Pennant Valley Game is a supplier of quality, unique, tasty Game Meat products. All of our Game is sourced from ethical suppliers local to our home in Mid Wales. Pennant Valley Game was founded by Izzy Hosking in 2013. A gamekeeper’s wife passionate about the countryside and game shooting, she turned her love for Welsh Game Meat into a business so that others could indulge this healthy, delicious Welsh produce. Then her dream came to in that she had the opportunity to have a butchers shop so in early 2020 Izzy’s butchers was born. The shop’s emphasis is on selling quality tradition meats but obviously game in season adds to the brilliance of the shop.

Game meat is good for you, it’s ethically produced, and it’s truly seasonal. It is also superbly versatile and rich in flavour.
From a health-giving perspective, venison is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids and contains half the saturated fat of beef. It’s also lower in calories, cholesterol, salt, and higher in protein.
Like wild deer, gamebirds enjoy a varied, foraged diet and plenty of exercise. As a result, pheasant, partridge and pigeon are all lower in fat, and offer more protein, iron, zinc and selenium than chicken.
