26cm Copper Induction Chefs Pan from Samuel Groves

filler

Let me start by saying that this pan although designed for induction hobs is equally at home on other cookers. I for instance have been testing it out on a very ancient Aga where the properties of the pan gives it excellent contact with the Aga plates.

This superb pan is perfect for sautéing, searing, cooking meat & shallow frying, thanks to the copper induction cookware that comprises 4 layers. The 4 layers are composed of an outer layer of desirable, thermally superior copper, then a sandwich of stainless-steel, thermally efficient aluminium and stainless steel. The outer copper layer from the base is cleverly removed, leaving the smooth induction friendly (430*) stainless-steel surface, ensuring they have outstanding performance on induction hobs. As these pans have been optimised for use on induction hobs, it means that not only are they perfect for use in today’s kitchen, they will be perfect for kitchens of the future.

The core aluminium and stainless steel layer distribute the heat quickly and evenly throughout the cookware, which prevents any annoying hotspots or your food sticking during cooking. The stainless steel interior makes the pan easy to use and clean and the external layer of copper gives the pan a unique, stunning appearance.

The handles are ergonomic stainless steel classic ones so that it makes it easy for you to move around whilst you are cooking and serving. The handles are also riveted which means your pan has that much-needed extra strength.

Pans for me are an investment, so it is a bonus when all the pans in this copper cookware collection qualify for Samuel Groves’ Pans for Life scheme, which is a lifetime guarantee. So that really does make sense to buy a top quality pan only once and use it forever.

Let me give you more details about this new copper cookware which has been designed for the 21st Century and is made in England. The 4 ply Copper Cookware has been optimized for Induction hobs by using a new manufacturing innovation. Whether you are a professional chef or just wish to use at home, copper means one thing and that quite simply is cookware. Copper’s unsurpassed heat conductivity makes it the chefs’ choice in the kitchen. As a copper pan will heat up almost instantly and cool down just as fast, giving the cook incredible control. If properly cared for, they’ll also last and will become heirlooms.

To look after your Copper 4ply induction pan it is best to wash by hand and dry thoroughly. It’s best not to leave to soak. The copper will age gracefully and in time, left to its own devices, tarnish. Ageing doesn’t affect the pan’s cooking ability. If you want to reduce the ageing process, use a cut lemon and some salt to keep the outside polished.

I am far from a brilliant cook, but even I found that this awesome 4ply combination, made cooking a variety of dishes totally hassle free and just as importantly for me, the pans are really easy to clean.

430 Stainless Steel There are two popular grades of Stainless Steel 304 & 430. The 304 grade has around 10% nickel in it, whereas the 430 is a ferritic grade which makes it very magnetic. The 430 stainless steel used in these pans is magnetic.
