Award winning restaurant and sauce company, The Coconut Kitchen has announced a new Japanese inspired dressing guaranteed to liven up many salads this summer.
Their Miso, Sesame and Lemon Dressing was developed in their restaurant, The Coconut Kitchen and has been used in dishes more over 2 years now and proved so popular with customers that they felt it had to be added to the retail range. The dressing is great with leafy salads and Asian salads and the bottle also comes with a great vegan recipe for a sesame, green beans and cashew nut noodle salad.
“We have used this sauce for Asian salads in the restaurant for a while and the most popular dish we use it for is our “Shime Saba”, which is a salad with cured local mackerel fillets.” says head Chef Preechaya Phetprasert
Director, Paul Withington explains,
“The aim for our bottled sauces and pastes has always been to make it easy for consumers to replicate the dishes we serve at our restaurant and to give them the ability to make true restaurant quality dishes at home. The feedback we have received with this new dressing has been really positive and its such a versatile sauce as its great with salads, noodles, cured meat and fish, sashimi and Sushi. The great news for vegetarian and vegan customers is that we have some great recipes on the bottle and on our website for them too “
With the Miso Sesame and Lemon Dressing now on general release through its website and distributors, The Coconut Kitchen are hopeful that this latest addition will bring them further success and open up some new markets.
Indeed, they have already had some export success with the product with an advance order from Germany as Paul Withington eludes,
“We had a great order from a Foodbox company in Hamburg for 8000 bottles for inclusion in their April Foodbox. That was great kick start for the new dressing and a great boost for us to have 8000 German customers receive our sauce into their homes. We have been selling our sauces for a while in Germany and this is a market that we hope to develop a lot more in the future as they too seem too seem to love what we do!”
