Race Council Cymru and The Windrush Cymru, are thrilled to announce the release of an insightful and illuminating documentary shedding light on the significant historical journey of the Windrush Generation. Titled Windrush Cymru @75 Documentary, this captivating film is now available for public viewing, offering a comprehensive exploration of the experiences and contributions of the Windrush Generation and Commonwealth Nationals to Wales and wider British society.

The documentary, directed by Will Langley and produced by Professor Uzo Iwobi, funded by the Minister of Social Justice, Jane Hutt CBE in celebration of the Windrush Generation at 75, delves into the rich and diverse stories of the Windrush Generation, highlighting their pivotal role in shaping the cultural, social, and economic landscape of Britain. Through heartfelt interviews, archival footage, and compelling narratives, the film captures the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of those who arrived in the UK from the Caribbean between 1948 and 1971.
