Ty Gwyn Cider

Ty Gwyn Cider is a multi-award winning craft cider company founded in the Monnow Valley in 2007 and run by ex-musician Alex Culpin. They are one of the leading lights of the UK craft cider scene and their cider is stocked by some of the country’s finest independent pubs, restaurants and specialist outlets. All their cider is made from 100% juice, fermented for a minimum of six months. They do a range of lightly sparkling bottled ciders as well as draught/still ciders and a perry.

All their cider can be tasted and bought from their farm cider shop near Rowlestone on the Welsh Border. The shop is open Wed – Sat 10am to 6pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm. To find them simply take the Rowlestone turning off the main A465 Abergavenny to Hereford road (by the builders merchants). Continue up the hill for approx. 800 meters and Ty Gwyn Cider is the first farm on the left. The shop is very welcoming and there is a licensed deck with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside for those who want to stop and sit and enjoy a cider or two.

They also sell other interesting local products such as beers, jams, honey, apple juice and Alex’s mum’s award winning blackcurrant coulis.  Tea/coffee and bar snacks also available. Customers are also able to order online.
