Spring Hollow Vineyard: Crafting Welsh Wines with Passion and Purpose

Nestled within the serene landscapes of the Teifi Valley in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, lies a hidden gem for wine enthusiasts – Spring Hollow Vineyard. Here, amidst the rustic charm of Cwmpengraig, Wayne and Sally Campbell have embarked on a journey fuelled by their love for fine wine and a deep-seated belief in the untapped potential of their Welsh terroir.

Founded on the principles of authenticity and sustainability, Spring Hollow Vineyard is more than just a winery – it’s a labour of love, a testament to the Campbell family’s dedication to crafting exceptional wines while nurturing the land they call home.

Spring Hollow Vineyard

At Spring Hollow, every vine tells a story. Hand-planted in April 2015, each vine embodies the Campbell’s vision of producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of West Wales. Embracing both organic and biodynamic principles, they cultivate their vineyard with meticulous care, ensuring that every grape thrives in harmony with nature.

Perched on south-facing slopes with sandy soils overlaying slate and shale, Spring Hollow benefits from optimal drainage and a microclimate perfectly suited for cool- climate grape varieties. Here, amidst the gentle hills of Carmarthenshire, Solaris, Rondo, and Seyval Blanc vines flourish, their grapes destined to become the backbone of Spring Hollow’s exquisite wines.

The journey from vine to bottle is a labour-intensive process at Spring Hollow, where every step is guided by a commitment to purity and quality. Eschewing pesticides and herbicides, the Campbell family tends to their vines by hand, ensuring that each grape receives the utmost care and attention. The result? Wines of unparalleled cleanliness and character, a testament to the pristine environment in which they are nurtured.

Since its first vintage in 2018, Spring Hollow wines have captivated palates far and wide, earning accolades at local food festivals, agricultural shows, and craft fairs. From crisp and aromatic whites to rich and robust reds, each bottle bears the hallmark of the Campbell’s dedication to excellence.

But Spring Hollow Vineyard is more than just a producer of fine wines – it’s a destination, a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the Welsh countryside while savouring the fruits of its labour. Guided tours and tastings offer guests a glimpse into the artistry behind each bottle, while the tranquil surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection.
