Step 1: Dampen palms with water, either at your basin or in the shower.
Step 2: Dispense half a teaspoon of powder (or more depending on your desired consistency) into the palm of your hand.

Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF 50+ With Hydrosella (Boxed)
Another winner for me from the Alpha H range. This is a lovely 2-in-1 moisturiser and SPF 50+ that offers you a fresh dewy finish and gives your skin protection against damaging UVA and UVB rays. As the Alpha H range is made in Australia, the country that knows all about sun damage and the protection our skin needs in the sunshine. Plus it also gives you 4 hours of water resistance, as this hydrating formula is supercharged with Vitamin E and Hydrosella which allows your skin to look soft, radiant and a moisturised complexion, but please don’t worry this moisturiser will not give you without the white cast so many other products do.
With broad-spectrum UVA and UVB filters to protect against premature skin ageing, there is also Amino Acid-rich Hydrosella that rapidly and continuously moisturises to improve your skin hydration, whilst Vitamin E offers antioxidant protection and assists your skin barrier function and UV-induced redness. I found it helped my fine lines and wrinkles, dryness and dehydration as well of course sun protection. This moisturiser is suitable for all skin types and particularly if your skin is dry or dehydrated and if like me, you prefer a dewy finish under your makeup, this is perfect. The texture of this moisturiser is lightweight, it isn’t greasy and is fragrance free.
I used it every morning as the last step of my skincare routine. I re-applied every 2 hours or when out in the sun/after swimming, towel drying, exercise and excessive perspiration. The amount to use is about a 20-pence size and I applied it to all exposed areas, including my face, neck and ears. It goes on easily, feeling light on the skin and giving a slight rosy glow. This lovely moisturiser has quickly become my daily staple as I am so wary of the damage the sun has been doing to my skin.
Please don’t mix serums, moisturisers or makeup products with your sunscreen, as this will dilute the SPF protection. But also allow the sunscreen to fully dry down before applying makeup to avoid pilling. Another suggestion is to not forget the backs of your hands, especially when driving, again to prevent UV damage. SPF is just one part of sun protection so do wear a hat, sunnies and protective clothing, and seek shade where possible – that’s the end of my sermon – and the reasons why I trust Alpha H!
