Percy & Reed – The Brand
This is a hair brand that I absolutely love and the reason that I have such confidence in this brand is because Percy & Reed are actually hairdressers. Both Paul and Adam create their range and use their products in their salon, so ‘if’ their clients aren’t happy with the results then their salon wouldn’t be so busy, would it? I’ve been lucky enough to try quite a few of their products and have been impressed with the results I can get at home and I certainly cannot claim to have any skills at all as a hair stylist. Just wanted to share a snippet I’ve taken from their website so you’ll understand why I’m so enthusiastic about Percy & Reed:
History of the brand
The Percy & Reed brand was created by two of London’s leading hairdressers Paul Percival and Adam Reed. Both had decades of experience jet-setting around the world, creating beautiful hair for the A-list.
They wanted to share their wealth of knowledge and tricks of the trade with everyone, not just the rich and famous. So, in 2007 the Percy & Reed salon was founded on Great Portland Street in London’s iconic West End. Since then the salon has been the talk of the town, attracting a host of who’s who.

1. I Need A Hero, Wonder Balm
This hair primer product with its lightweight, gel-based formula has been a game changer for me and one hair product I will not live without. It’s a leave-in balm, suitable for all hair types and works even if you have sensitive skin. This pre-hair styling product ensures that any other products you use will deliver amazing results for you, making your hair feel healthy, look fabulous and certainly not greasy. All you have to do is apply 3 – 5 pumps to your damp, towel-dried hair and then use your palms and fingers to work the product through from the roots to the ends of your hair. You can then apply styling products and dry as normal. I am sure like me you be so impressed with the results you have achieved with your hair lovely and smooth and moisturised. But don’t forget that this product will give you up to 72 hours of frizz and humidity control, plus super shine, light hold and serious definition. It is no surprise that Percy & Reed call it a multitasker, is it? This is without a doubt is one of my hero products, I cannot run out of this one.

2. Hold It Right There, Define & Hold Finishing Cream
This product has a creamy-wax formula that has been developed to define and hold short hair, chic crops, fix hairline flyway’s and even tackle pesky split ends on long locks. Now that’s a lot of claims but that is just what I have found that this product achieved for me. It added shine, is non-greasy and smooths your hair in all the right places. My hair was left feeling so super soft that I couldn’t stop touching it!
The cream contains horse chestnut extract and sunflower wax that work hard to smooth and define, giving hair the just-right hold it needs, but also with flexibility. This is a much better alternative to hair wax or hair gel for short hair, it’s also silicone and sulphate free, gluten free and vegan-friendly. Just put a pea-sized amount into your palms and rub them together to warm the product, until it disappears. Then smooth over your dry hair for a perfect finish, paying special attention to any pesky flyway’s that you might have. If you need a stronger definition or hold, simply use more. The fragrance is gorgeous, it is a soothing, floral fragrance that evokes the scent of the British countryside in bloom. It includes watery, citrus top notes, rose, ivy and lily of the valley, floral heart notes and musk, amber and cedarwood base notes. Just delightful.

3. Beyond The Beach, Texture Spray from Percy & Reed

On wet hair:

4. Turn Up The Volume Volumising Dry Shampoo from Percy & Reed
Have you run about of time to wash your hair? Then don’t panic, I have the best and easiest solution for you as I know that a good dry shampoo is a handbag/bathroom essential. Using a dry shampoo makes it so easy to refresh your hair in between washes. A dry shampoo will soak up excess oil, cleanse your scalp and give your hair that ‘just-washed’ feel when you have no time or inclination to wash it! A great product to use for your busy mornings and late nights when you’re definitely not ‘staying in to wash your hair’.
Dry Shampoo can also act as a ‘quick-fix’ makeover adding texture and a little ‘oomph’ to your everyday style and this one does not leave a residue or any chalky powder either! You can refresh and revive your style in an instant and it has been infused with a fine fragrance, it really is a must-have product for all busy people. This product adds body and volume to any limp, dull strands that you might have. It has a unique formulation that you will love.
To use, shake the can really well until you hear the aggravator moving inside the can and push down hard for the first couple of sprays. Then spray evenly into the roots area from 10cm away. Use your fingers to massage into the roots and distribute the product evenly through your hair as this will help absorb excess oil. You can also spray directly onto a brush and work through the hair from roots to ends that way.
