Llanerchaeron Café by its name is at Llanerchaeron the National Trust Georgian Mansion nestled in the Aeron Valley a few miles east of the popular resort of Aberaeron.
The café is run by Conti’s who have for many years had their café and ice cream parlour in Lampeter. The Llanerchaeron Café is now the outlet to enjoy the delicious food and drink to go from Conti’s with their Lampeter café being shut for the time being.
The Llanerchaeron Café by Conti’s is based in the car park for the mansion for which there is no charge to park. With the house and grounds to visit (which is chargeable) there is also many walks within the estate so is ideal for walking and is dog friendly. There is no charge for entry to the estate walks which are clearly marked and vary in difficulty but not really suitable for those that do not have full walking ability.
The Café itself is open from late February until November but does work around when the National Trust property is open. There is a covered area of the café and also there is the most delightful green space with an oak tree giving some of the tables the most wonderful shade.
Llanerchaeron Café by Conti’s is very dog friendly welcoming dogs on their leads both inside the covered seating area and the surrounding outside tables. There is an offering of doggy sausage on the menu but the outside tables are also bird friendly. Thankfully no seagulls but smaller feathered friends such as robins and chaffinches are not that wary of us humans.
The café is food and drink to go and the menu reflects that. Conti’s have taken a huge amount of trouble to source the very best of food and drink and one would have to travel a long way to find better coffee. The food offering is delicious across sandwiches cakes and of course Conti’s ice creams. The menu does alter to reflect the time of year with more emphasis on a non heated option during the summer months.
