Lip Serum Balms from Ruby Hammer

The very best lipstick will struggle to look good if your lips are dry and flaky, that makes sense, but it is a clever idea to remember that the canvas is just as important as the paint. A poor quality canvas will still give you a poorer quality painting. I’ve not tried and tested any lip products from Ruby Hammer and no idea why not as I’ve been missing a serious trick there. So I enjoyed treating my lips to these beautiful balms that are packed with the finest skincare ingredients, derived from nature and combined with pigment, so you get colour on your lips that cares for your lips too. The Balms contain some super ingredients to give your lips the best care. The balms contain Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil to relieve inflammation, with Meadowfoam seed oil to moisturise, Cocoa butter to dissolve roughness and Liquorice leaf extract to smooth and balance.

These are so simple to apply as all that is required is to select your favourite colour of lip serum balm and apply directly to your lips for instant hydration, soothing relief and also a subtle dewy wash of colour or a pearlescent accent. This range is suitable for vegans.

These beautiful balms are most certainly worth getting.

Ruby Hammer has used her 30+ years of experience in the beauty industry to realise her eponymous collection of incredible, beauty essentials, all inspired by her personal journey.

More about this amazing lady which I’ve taken from Ruby Hammer’s own website:

Brand Founder, Entrepreneur, Global MUA, Author and Beauty Industry Expert, this lady does have National Treasure status. Ruby Hammer MBE’s stellar beauty career has made her one of the most recognisable and sought-after makeup artists in the world. From creating iconic looks on 80s supermodels to launching Ruby & Millie, the first British inclusive makeup artist range. In 2007 Ruby received an MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to the cosmetics industry. Ruby has been pushing boundaries and redefining the beauty category for over 40 years. Today, Ruby remains number one on speed dial for celebrities and editors alike – just as sought after for her unrivalled industry insight as her award-winning eponymous products.

Ruby’s passion for colour started at a young age. Born

in Jos, Nigeria to Bangladeshi parents, she moved to London in at the age of twelve, where she discovered the world of beauty – covering her bedroom wall with torn out iconic looks from her favourite makeup artists instead of pop stars. Before obtaining her BA (Hons), her career began on the shop floor in Harrods, where the store discount was used to buy makeup and international fashion magazines. A chance encounter led to being invited to work as assistant to a leading makeup artist, gaining experience working on the top fashion magazines of the time and building key contacts. A few short years later, Ruby was a leading makeup artist in her own right – creating her own iconic looks for editorial and red carpets, and breaking boundaries as one of the first makeup artists of colour to feature regularly on British TV.

Beyond her talent for makeup, Ruby’s sound business brain gave the ability to recognise a gap in the market. In partnership with ex-husband, George Hammer, her knack for spotting a winning beauty formula led her to introduce some of the world’s most recognisable global beauty brands to the UK – Aveda, Tweezerman, Mr Mascara and L’Occitane to name a few. From there, Ruby went on to launch makeup brand Ruby & Millie with friend and partner Millie Kendall in Boots stores nationwide. It was the first makeup line to embrace diversity and cater for a range of skin-tones at an affordable price point in cool, cutting edge packaging. The rest is history – the collection was an international success, winning awards and celebrity fans across the globe.

Brand Founder

Never one to rest on her laurels, Ruby’s most recent success is her signature capsule collection of beauty essentials, Ruby Hammer Beauty.
