Freshen Up from Angela Langford

filler

It is such a pleasure to be able to tell you about a range of products made in Wales. Angela Langford makes her range in small batches in the next county to me, in Dinas Cross, Pembrokeshire. So if your skin is dry, dehydrated and sensitive this lovely hydrating and refreshing tonic is for you. This natural tonic with rose, orange blossom mixed with aloe vera and comfrey can also be used during the day as summer will arrive sometime and this is great to pop into your bag and spritz when required  during the day. I used this before applying any moisturiser or serum and it really did make my face feel fresh, clean, actually as though it had just had a drink.

Angela’s ethos is to use high quality natural and where possible, organic ingredients. She does not use parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, colours or other skin nasties. The company products are strictly cruelty-free, testing on their friends, family and of course themselves, but never on animals. The honest and impartial feedback from friends, family and customers have enabled Angela to refine & tweak her skincare recipes, resulting in a range of natural skincare that people genuinely enjoy, as well as the positive effect the products have on their skin and their well-being.

So many skincare companies really do blind us with science, they confuse us and so often over complicate things to try and make you believe they are miracle products. Angela however is very different as she prefers to take a straightforward, honest approach so you can easily find quite detailed information about each of the ingredients that are in her products and more importantly, an explanation as to why Angela has selected each ingredient and what the benefits of each are. Sadly Angela cannot stop time, but she can help as she creates products that allow you to feel good about yourself and your skin regardless of how old you are!

Taken from her website, here is a snippet about Angela’s Story:

Angela LangfordAngela’s story for launching her own range of natural and organic skincare was rather unusual. There wasn’t anyone with super sensitive skin, or acute eczema Angela wanted to cure. Rather, it was a little more selfish than that!

Working in Gibraltar in the world of online gambling of all things, Angela was made redundant and had time on her hands. Living in Spain, she did not have access to many things that we take for granted in the UK – one of which was access to good skincare. Angela’s favourite brands of skincare were simply not available to her, so she decided to do what most people wouldn’t – she would make her own!

Being a passionate and talented cook, her reasoning was that it seemed not unreasonable that creating skincare products is very similar to creating recipes – after all, making skincare products includes using the best ingredients you can find, that are heated or emulsified or folded into each other (albeit a bit more scientific than that), to end up with a product that is good for you.

And so Angela embarked on a journey that would see her being taught skincare production by the best in the business, travelling back and forth to the UK to complete her studies. What was originally just a hobby to supply some creams and oils to herself and her immediate family, it quickly escalated to friends and friends of friends – to a point where the original Angela Langford brand was born.

As word got out, more and more people plugged in to Angela’s ethos and, five years on from launching, Angela now helps hundreds of women with their skincare choices, many of which are looking for a natural alternative to the mega brands that they may have used in the past.
