Dafydd Hughes as so many have done had personal issues and found himself in a very dark space. Circumstances gave him the opportunity to own some woodland then started to work with Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales). This offers woodland and nature based activities in Wales, aiming to connect people and nature, whilst getting people healthy and active, to boost the health and wellbeing. Now Dafydd’s woodland is used by Coed Lleol as a base for wellbeing courses.
So Dafydd Hughes, recognised, approached and succeeded in beating personal challenges himself by working with nature and the woodland. He has though now taken that challenge of working with nature one huge step forward by setting himself the challenge of circumnavigation of the globe single handedly in 2023.
Such is Dafydd’s commitment and enthusiasm for life going into this venture that he wants to share the experience with others.
Obviously circumnavigating the world cannot be done in a 3 meter dinghy and can be costly so Dafydd Hughes wanted sponsorship and Nanteos Mansion became his first local sponsor. My first sponsor onboard being Curious Roo Coffee Roasters.
