If you haven’t tried or even heard of Turbie Twists you are seriously missing out as these are, well I guess I could call them hair wraps to dry your hair. The Turbie Twists are made from 100% cotton, they are light and comfortable to wear after washing your hair as they are a secure fit to cover and dry your hair, even if your hair is long. You get 5 different colours in each pack and there are lots of packs & colours to choose from. This is most certainly a party pack and ideal for your girlfriends to join you for a pamper night. They are ultra-absorbent and quick drying too. I can’t say that I relish washing my hair at home but having these have made the chore easier. After washing my hair I can wrap it in a Turbie Twist, knowing it will help dry my hair more quickly and without making my hair frizzy. Wearing a Turbie Twist also means I can get on with other jobs in the kitchen without my hair getting in the way and annoying me.
I am a huge fan of the Turbie Twists, they are, I think, quite simple in design, but rather clever, practical and effective. Yet I cannot believe that some of my family and friends have never heard of them, instead they try to dry their hair with a towel balanced on their head – really? That is crazy. My bestie friend still wraps her long hair in a bath towel, which I find ludicrous as that will be so heavy on her head and how it stays in place is beyond me. But just in case my family and friends don’t take my advice to purchase a Turbie Twist party pack, I intend giving them each one for either their birthday or Christmas, as I think they make such great gifts. They all come individually packed in lovely bags so gifting is so simple and simple always works for me!
To use, just bend forward flipping your hair forward as you go. Place the Turbie Twist on your head, with the logo and elastic at the nape of your neck. Then twist the towel until you get a snug fit and then just secure the end of the towel through the elastic loop at the back. Whilst you are wearing it you’ll find the Turbie Twist absorbs the moisture from your hair whilst you get on with your day or get yourself ready to go out. I also find they are brilliant if you apply masks to your hair on a regular basis. You can apply your mask and then pop on your Turbie Twist which will keep your mask warm, which usually makes it work more effectively on your hair. Sometimes I even put a plastic cap on after my mask and the Turbie Twist on top. I’ve also been known to apply a mask on holiday, pop on my Turbie Twist and sit out by the pool. I also pop it on if I am giving myself a facial or even just a double cleanse. Turbie Twists keep my hair out of the way and make me feel I am then doing a better job when cleansing or applying a face mask. There are lots of uses for these Turbie Twists. As these are also 100% natural cotton Turbie Twists are also perfect for sensitive skin.
To keep your Turbie Twist fresh and absorbent just machine wash on a cold water programme with other similar colours. Use a mild detergent, but definitely no fabric softeners so the absorbency will be maintained. You can tumble dry on low, but for me that’s a tad wasteful as they don’t take long to air dry.
