Transforming Chiropractic Care in Wales with USW’s New Clinic

Chiropractic care in Wales is set for a major upgrade with the construction of a new Chiropractic Clinic at the University of South Wales (USW).

Scheduled for completion in spring 2025, this cutting-edge facility at Treforest Campus will consolidate all chiropractic learning, teaching, and treatment activities. Replacing the current setup at William Price Business Park.

Designed by Stride Treglown, the 900-square-meter, two-story building will feature modern treatment rooms, DXA (bone density) and ultrasound scan rooms, a seminar room, and various support spaces.

New Home of Welsh Institute of Chiropractic

The Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (WIOC) was established at the University of Glamorgan in 1997, marking a significant milestone in UK chiropractic education.

The program began with forty students and quickly expanded due to high demand. By 2000, the WIOC clinic opened, attracting patients from across South Wales, setting a high standard for chiropractic training and practice in the region.

The Benefits of Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, especially those related to the spine. Chiropractors use hands-on spinal manipulation and other techniques to align the body’s structure, enabling self-healing without surgery or medication.

Benefits include improved physical function, reduced inflammation, enhanced joint mobility, and nervous system support.
