Firstly let me explain about the Garden Of Wisdom as taken from Victoria Health’s website:
Garden of Wisdom
Garden of Wisdom (GoW) skin care and serums promote a natural, gentle approach for the treatment of skin concerns encouraging skin balance and stability. Your skin can, and will change. The needs of your skin can shift because of age, stress, seasonal and environmental factors, “skin complacency” using the same formulations month after month and of course, your overall health. Garden of Wisdom serums incorporate the least number of inactive ingredients allowing the actives to work more effectively than many other serums currently available on the market. GoW serums use therapeutic strength of actives in order to improve the appearance of skin. Whether you are suffering from acne, hyperpigmentation or are looking for an anti-ageing serum, there is a Garden of Wisdom skin serum for you.
A reader told me about this product that she loved and of course I then couldn’t wait to try it. Actually I was not at all sure how prickly pear seed oil could help me as a cynical journalist, still I always try to be open minded and willing to try any products.
This is only a smallish bottle, just 30ml, but that’s fine as you don’t need to use much. I tried it at night putting a little on my face, neck and down to my cleavage. I rubbed it in rather well by using my knuckles and then off to bed. In the morning I simply couldn’t believe how great my skin looked, it looked much plumper, healthier and glowing. That was even more surprising as I didn’t feel I’d slept well, but my skin really did look as though I’d been asleep for a good eight. I’m rather stunned by this product because my skin feels moisturised and feels bouncy to touch. After applying if there is any excess I rub it over the backs of my hands paying attention to my horrid cuticles, which certainly need some help after too much gardening and I noticed an improvement there too.
Well it is pointless having a product to try unless you give it a really good work out – so I moved onto my elbows now short-sleeved tops are more the order of the day now we are into summer and I much say that was worth doing as well.
After my raving about GoW my partner was rather sneaky and tried it on this face as he often suffers from shaving rash and the result there is that we are now fighting over the bottle! My other thought was for teenagers with skin hassles, sure it will also prove to be a good rescue bottle for them – send them off to university with one!
I am also impressed that GoW is 100% Pure Cold Pressed Prickly Pear Seed Oil, I am certainly not aware of other brands reaching that level, plus it is suitable for vegetarians. Do check out the website for other reviews.
