Mud and Wool is located on a beautiful 14-acre smallholding with outstanding views over the Cambrian Mountains. Jo and Adam are artists, Jo a weaver and Adam a potter. Art workshops are held in a beautifully converted barn which is now the studio and teaching area.

A two bedroomed, self-catering cottage in rural West Wales, situated in an elevated position with magnificent views of the Cambrian Mountains. This barn conversion has been lovingly restored and completed to a high standard. For an extra charge, guests also have access to a wood fired sauna.

Brad Carr is a professional nature and landscape photographer based in Welshpool. Much of his photography is focused on small pockets of Powys and around the magical landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia). As seen on ITV’s ‘Love your Weekend’, Fraithwen Carriage Driving can cater for two people – possibly an additional small one! – and can provide one or two-hour experiences around stunning lanes, past bubbling streams, through woods and peaceful farmland.

Visitors can choose either a Marathon wagon with side facing seats or one person can choose to sit up front with the driver, or you can upgrade to a beautiful Victoria carriage with a forward-facing seat for two people and a hood, if required. 

Fraithwen Carriage Driving can also travel to a location of the customer’s choice and other route options include picnic drives, pub drives, stately homes and events. Call the business to discuss ideas and see if they can accommodate special plans. Drives start at £150 for two people for one hour drive from the stud farm.

Corris Caverns is also home to Corris Mine Explorers which has guides to take visitors on an underground adventure, following in the footsteps of Victorian slate miners.
