It was a reader that told me about the Rieker as she was looking for trainers, but trainers with a zip which was a new idea for me – but did make sense. She found a great selection on Rieker’s website. However I then did my own investigations as I knew nothing about this brand and now I must thank my reader because I was extremely impressed with the trainers I tried out – result!

Well I agree with the walk in comfort, wear with style statement from Rieker as this pair were so comfortable and definitely stylish. Actually I thought these were a most delightful looking pair of trainers and yes, they have a zip. A zip is such a clever idea as it makes putting them on and off so easy, but it doesn’t look like a cheat as you have the laces at the front as with normal with trainers and the zipper is discreet. The uppers are made from a synthetic material and have a width of F 1/2 and heel height of 29mm, the sole is Rieker’s RIRICON.
I have a worry about feet in that so many of us don’t often take care of them when basically we are standing or walking on them most of the day, every day – feet do work hard for us and do deserve looking after. So I loved that Rieker shoes are crafted using their signature antistress and antishock technology, which means your feet are provided with the essential support and luxurious comfort. This is a huge selling point for this brand. Rieker’s Antistress Technology gives you a lightweight feel so your feet actually feel free, which might sound silly but comfortable.
These trainers also offer optimum shock absorption regardless of the surface you are walking on. This I found such a huge bonus as my dog walking takes me from pavements, forest tracks and of course the beach, so really different surfaces to walk on. With maximum reflexibilty, your feet are not cramped or squashed as this design allows space for your feet to expand throughout the day, again that is important.
I’m so pleased my reader introduced me to a brand I’d failed to discover, I do enjoy doing that.
