With white-clocked grace and hallowed moon……
I’m Jane; A published author and illustrator of poetry, nature writing, and children’s picture books. I am also a creative writing/ art educator with over 18yrs experience of working both privately and in schools.
I have spent most of my life either looking up; or looking down. And now – I look all around and everywhere.
Most of my inspiration as a poet and nature writer/illustrator comes from my daily mindful walks ‘in nature’ with my faithful spaniels, Penny and Snowdon: And we walk together whatever the weather.
I write to release memories that subconsciously seem to ‘stay put’ in my mind for one reason or another; until something like a quiet moment, a sound, or a song suddenly releases one of these small and seemingly insignificant jumble or words. And like a jig-saw, one by one, piece by piece, some of these little memories somehow get knitted together to form a poem.
I am extremely happy to be currently writing and illustrating nature poems for Welsh Country Magazine, alongside continuing to teach my current students.
I have an MA in Illustration, a PGCW in Creative Writing, a BA (Hons) in Design, and Teachers Certs in Further Adult Education.
