Gregynog Hall

Gregynog is an enchanting 750 acre estate rich in history, culture, nature – and stories.

People come here for a little peace, a lingering walk, a lively debate, to experience incredible music and to socialise in our café. There are miles of marked walks through our woodland and Grade 1 listed gardens, and hidden treasures waiting to be explored throughout the grounds including our lovely lily pond and a bird hide in the woods. The estate is a National Nature Reserve and has two Sites of Special Scientific Interest – and home to many rare species.

We cater for all types of events from week long conferences to day time meetings – and the Hall is the perfect place for parties.

Our accommodation includes 15 fabulous heritage bedrooms as well as 12 Courtyard rooms (three accessible bedrooms in the house) as well as a range of accommodation in the upper floors of the house.

Two sisters lived here at the turn of the twentieth century. Thinkers, who were ahead of their time. Gwendoline and Margaret Davies were committed to progress: and that progressive nature is still the beating heart of Gregynog today.

Gregynog is now run by a charitable trust dedicated to safeguarding this unique and special place for the future, and raising funds to restore Gregynog to its former glory. It has vital role to play – not just in history, but in future thinking: in wonder, culture and inspiration; in our wellbeing and spirit; in learning; in powering our local rural economy in Montgomeryshire. The possibilities are endless. Gregynog’s reach is far and wide, it sparks ideas and progress for many, many people it touches. With your help, we could reach further still.

Whether you come to Gregynog for your wedding, a conference or one of our events, to enjoy our accommodation or just a wander in the woods, we know you will leave having been touched by Gregynog’s magic.

It’s good for the soul, a place that lights a spark in everyone who visits.

Come and find yours.
