These fabulous Flitwick boots have been designed to be weekend-ready for you to enjoy your time away from work and spend some time in the country, or if you are very lucky like me, on the beach. These waterproof boots have been crafted from premium brown leather and have five-eyelet laces. There’s also a padded collar at the ankle which gives lovely cushioning and then there is a contrast colour rubber sole. The Flitwick features Chatham’s sole spring poron performance cushioning, which is anti-bacterial and not only offers maximum comfort, but shock absorption as well. I really do love these boots as they are not only versatile and practical, I love the idea that they’ve been crafted for life’s adventurous days!
Although I think it would be stretching things way too far to call myself adventurous, but I do have a couple of young and very energetic dogs and as I say, I am lucky enough to have the beach on my doorstep, so I’m out and about on the beach regardless of the variable Welsh weather. So my trying out these boots involved many, many beach walks and often taking a route through the sand hills and pleased to report that my feet were comfortable and just as importantly, really dry too.
Autumn in Wales is always picturesque, so we made the most of a few days break and the dogs and I meandered through some local forest trails where once again I was so grateful that the Flitwick boots were waterproof, because it was horrendously wet!
So now I must move onto cleaning but thankfully that wasn’t a problem as the leather boots are really easy to clean using a natural beeswax cream and the suede just needs a spray and a rubber/nylon brush. The Flitwick are a standard fit, but if your feet need a little extra room the boots will stretch up to a half size.
This is the first time I have had the pleasure of trying any footwear from Chatham, but now I understand perfectly why my Editor has been raving about this brand for years. For me I think Chatham take quality and comfort to another level, I haven’t tried a better boot.
I hope you are impressed with these Flitwick ankle boots as much as I have been and my suggestion is that ‘adventurous’ guys put these boots on their Christmas list to help Santa!
