The face of Mandy Walters describes themselves as:
“…a family run business Cardigan Bay Shellfish. I am Mandy Walters and work with my husband Len and son Aaron fishing for shellfish in the Cardigan Bay with our boats Glas y Dorlan and Peter M. The preparation of the catch is carried out by myself and I sell from our house and the local produce market in St Dogmaels every Tuesday 9.00am to 1.00pm.
We catch crab and lobster all year round. Coracle caught Teifi Sewin/ Salmon from April to August. Spider crab from May to August. In the summer, we handline for Mackerel, Sea Bass and Pollock. In winter, we catch Cardigan Bay Scallops on ground that has been fished for forty years and continues to produce quality fish. We only sell what is caught locally so it is weather permitting!”

When fish and shell fish are available you will also find Cardigan Bay Shellfish at the Riverside Market in Cardiff held every Sunday opposite the Millennium Stadium. If around west Wales then call at their house: The Villa, High Street. Use side alley for access. We are 2 doors up from village ‘Premier’ shop in St Dogmaels.
