Scenic Surroundings

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes that surround Bargoed Farm. From rolling hills to lush greenery, the natural beauty of West Wales is on full display. Bargoed Farm is brimming with countryside charm, where you will be greeted by our resident cat, Thomas, and see roaming geese in the distance on arrival. We’re surrounded by fields and forestry and have a lake on-site too; a haven for all sorts of wildlife, where you can take pleasure in watching nature whilst here.

Local Area

With exceptional access off the A487, equidistant between the seaside towns of Aberaeron and New Quay, our quiet and secluded site is the perfect base to explore the stunning county of Ceredigion and beyond. With numerous blue flag beaches, historical sites, unparalleled wildlife from red kites to dolphins, as well as world class locations for all kinds of activities.

Cardigan Bay is just one of two places along the British coast where bottlenose dolphins can be spotted. Over 300 of them spend part of the year in the area, usually throughout the summer, peaking in numbers during September and October. There are several companies operating boat trips from nearby New Quay, to watch these wonderful creatures cavorting in their natural habitat.

A quiet footpath leads from the site to the local village of Llwyncelyn, and a short walk from there takes you onto the beautiful Welsh Coastal Path. You don’t need a car to experience the beauty of the area – but a good pair of boots is essential!

We are on the main bus route and buses will pick up and drop off from the end of the drive, and there are many local taxi firms if your weary legs can’t carry you home!
