These shears have been designed to make your life easier and I certainly found they did just that! Thank goodness for that, because in the past I have got so annoyed with garden shears that would struggle cutting through butter! But obviously my problem was not buying a brand of shears designed by Kuhn Rikon! Another important detail is that there is also a 2yr guarantee on these shears.
I also found these shears were so easy to use, another reason I loved them. You just squeeze the handles lightly to unlock them. To lock shears for storage, hold handles together and move the lock, which is located in the handle area, into place over hook. There’s also a bottle opener, so to use that just hold shears and place the small meal hook under inside of the bottle cap. Lift up and forward and the bottle cap is removed. It really is that easy. If you have boxes to open, it’s a box cutter too! Just push the button at base of shears and squeeze handles closed. Shear blades will overlap exposing cutting blade to cut along the tape of the box.
When the shears need washing just use hot soapy water, towel-dry thoroughly. Do not soak the blades in water, there’s really no need to do that as they are so easy to clean.
