This performance is under the direction of Lyn Cuffin. It is her debut as director, though she has been an active part of the rep for many years. She stepped up to the mark standing in for their regular director Tom Wallwork. Tom has been quite seriously ill for a few months now. He would have hated for the plays the group had started working on to not go ahead “the show must go on”…. Also the Rep, having regular slots twice yearly in the Ucheldre’s calendar of events, didn’t want to miss this chance to show what they are made of. The Ucheldre Rep has been a feature of Ucheldre’s line up of activities and events since 1994. We all hope that tom has a speedy recovery.
Thursday 23 – Saturday 25 May 7.30pm
Ucheldre Rep presents Two One Act Plays
The Last Bread Pudding by Nick Warburton (Comedy) & Three Tables by Dan Remmes (Dramatic Comedy)
The Last Bread Pudding – Nick Warburton (Comedy)
The committee of an amateur drama group is meeting to discuss a new play. We notice that, strangely, the presentation of the meeting to us is reflecting the ideas put forward by the committee, making the play a demonstration as well as a discussion of those ideas. A clever and entertaining piece
Three Tables – Dan Remmes (Dramatic Comedy)
Three Couples at various stages of their relationships are dining at a restaurant. By the end of the evening, all three relationships have altered.
